NEW YORK -- The rain and snow has stopped, but the wind has picked up as temperatures fall below the freezing point.

A wind advisory is in effect for the entire Tri-State Area until noon Monday. AccuWeather says it's going to be a bitterly cold night with the with RealFeel temperature near zero degrees.

Drivers will probably face icy roads for Monday morning's commute as a result of the freezing temperatures and leftover snow and rain.

On the first official day of winter, Garden State residents were welcomed with snow, sleet, and freezing rain.

The weather caused treacherous driving conditions and left slippery sidewalks around the state.

An early morning four-vehicle accident on the New Jersey Turnpike in Bordentown left 17 people with minor injuries. According to State Police, it involved two buses -- one of which was a tour bus.
