Tuesday, 12.16.2008, 04:06pm (GMT)

LAHORE ( PR)Members of Rotary Club of Lahore Garrison participated in the Artificial Limbs presentation ceremony, which was organized under "Limbs for All" campaign of Hope Rehabilitation Center.  Dr. Khalid Niazi made a presentation about the project and informed the audience that limbs provided by Hope are modular and more durable as compared to conventional ones.  He informed that the limbs are provided free of cost to deserving cases which are sponsored by philanthropists and service organizations like Rotary Clubs and Lions Clubs.  Later, the participants met with the recipients who have received limbs under this campaign.  They were presented flower bouquets.  Later Justice Amer Raza and Khalid Khurki addressed the recipients and encouraged them to actively participate in their daily routine.  Rotary Club of Lahore Garrison sponsored artificial limbs of six persons.  District Governor Nominee Shehzad Ahmed, Club president Aslam Chaudhry and SEI Parvez participated on behalf of the Rotary Club.  Later, they had a meeting with Dr. Niazi and agreed to provide funds for artificial limbs for twenty two persons.  The funds would be provided from Matching Grant no. 58347 for artificial limbs from The Rotary Foundation, where Rotary Club of Chicago Far North is the Primary International partner.  Other partner Rotary Clubs include Evanston Lighthouse, Chicago Financial District, Chicago Midwest, Naperville, and Rotary International Districts 6440 and 6450, USA.
